When is it safe to pause gcode in Kmotion Cnc and expect it to restart in the same place?

Today while cutting a part I paused gcode during a spiral "bore" interpolated circle. When it restarted the center of the arc had moved about 1/8".

No big deal since the part was ruined I experimented a bit and depending on where I paused it would restart with the arc center up to an inch off.
